Thompson retains Laser Masters title
According to a release from the Royal British Virgin Islands Yacht Club, (RBVIYC), 20 sailors raced across 5 classes which included sailors from Virgin Gorda joining the action which saw Thompson, who was not to be beaten in the Laser Masters, win for the second year in a row.
"Second place went to Mike Hirst who picked up a virtual clean sweep of second-place finishes after a first race warm-up. Third overall was claimed by Oliver Alsop just three points ahead of fourth-placed Joe McIvor. Chris Haycraft was fifth and Peter Tarn sixth," the release noted.
Rayne Duff, sailing a Laser Radial, gave the Standards a run for their money but with the results separated, he posted a perfect scorecard of first-place finishes.
Max Reshetiloff claimed second whilst Samuel Allen, now graduated from the Optimist class, picked up the Laser 4.7 title.
