SEA COWS BAY, Tortola, VI – All set and ready to take on the leadership of the territory of the Virgin Islands, Chairman of the Virgin Islands Party (VIP) Honourable Julian Fraser, RA (R3) declared, “This January when I come before you 2015 the better news is that this is the last year of the NDP.”

The Third District Representative was addressing a large number of supporters at his annual Third District Holiday Party at Ellis Thomas Downs last night January 10, 2015.

Not even a night of heavy showers could have held back the massive numbers of persons from coming out to show their support for the VIP and Hon Fraser’s leadership. They were treated to some finger licking foods and drinks in galore but were most of all eager to hear of Hon Fraser’s plans that will pull this territory out of the doldrums that it has been sunken in by the current National Democratic Party (NDP) government.

“…and we got work to do,” he challenged his friends and supporters that came from all corners of the territory. “I am sure that by now you know that I was elected the third Chairman of the Virgin Islands Party and by that it means that I’ve got a lot of work to do and I am asking you for your help in that regard,” said Hon Fraser as he addressed his people.

He said his party has in store for the VI people the promises that have been made to them by others but have not been fulfilled. “In the area of Education, we have work to do…. As I would tell you now, we would start by ensuring that the issue of discipline is tackled head on as one of the main reasons for indiscipline in our school system is the lack of organisation,” Hon Fraser stated.

The vibrant District Representative noted that it is his firm belief that it is high time for a separation of students in the high school. “It is high time that we separate our children in high school between junior and senior high and I say to you that we will be building a junior high school for the territory.”

The issue of education was one of several issues Hon Fraser touched on during his almost half an hour address to his people, more of which will be share via this news site in a subsequent story.

“When it comes to people, I will be advocating for your rights and benefits every day… Anytime it comes down to where you my people are being aggrieved, your issues become my issues and I will fight them tooth to nail, everyday…,” he said.

“I am telling you not that this year is count down, its count down time and its going to be rough, we are prepared to take the bumps and the bruises but in the process some people will be bumped and some will get bruised but we are all doing it in the best interest of you the people,” said Hon Fraser.
