'Third World' to headline Foxy’s ‘Old Year’s Night’ fest

GREAT HARBOUR, Jost van Dyke, VI – Now an annual event that attracts thousands, this year’s ‘Old Year’s Night’ 2019 celebration at the Foxy’s Tamarind Bar in Jost van Dyke will be headlined by internationally acclaimed reggae band Third World to usher in the new year.

According to the release on the event, with 9 Grammy nominations, including a 2020 ‘Best Reggae LP’ nomination for ‘More Work to be Done’ produced by Damian ‘Jr. Gong’ Marley and a catalogue of chartered hits spanning 4 decades, Third World is one of the longest-lived Reggae bands of all time, now celebrating their 45th year.

They remain one of Jamaica’s most consistently popular crossover acts among international artists and Third World’s has earned its prominent signature as the ‘Reggae Ambassadors’ with a style has been described as reggae-fusion.

The General admission to Foxy’s Tamarind Bar and Foxy’s “Outback” Main Stage is FREE and open to the public. And In addition to Third World, Foxy’s Outback Stage will also feature local entertainment such as Spectrum Band VI, Evolution Band.

Further, with DJ Dean, and One Nation the party will go until the wee hours with ‘Noise Cans’, led by Bermudian frontman ‘COLLAS’ who will spin a fusion of EDM, dancehall, roots, rock and reggae music while wearing his signature Bermudian Gombey mask.

Transportation 

Ferries and water taxis from St. Thomas, St. John and Tortola will service Jost van Dyke throughout the night with full travel details to be released soon.

            You guys have clearly not listened to Third World from their beginnings. They had so many gems, it is impossible to say which one is best.

            "Sun won't shine", "96 degrees", "Feel a little better", "Jah Glory", "Fret not thyself", "African woman"..... and many many more.
