DUFFS BOTTOM, Tortola, VI- The action on the court is certainly heating up and excitement building among fans as the Hon. Julian Fraser/Save the Seed National Intermediate Basketball League gets into full flow at the Save the Seed Energy Centre in Duffs Bottom.

This evening, August 30, 2013 packs a double header that is guaranteed to be exciting and keenly competitive.

“I think that the games are going to be pretty tight. We are not expecting any blowouts, we expect the games to be very competitive,” said one of the coordinators, Mr Milton McLean.

The curtain raiser at 6 P.M. will bring together GameBoyz and the Da 3rd. “Game boys will be looking for their first win against Da Third who are a little bit smaller but they are pretty quick. So we are looking for a good game,” Mr McLean told Virgin Islands News Online.

The feature game at 7: 30 P.M. will be between Top Shottas and Dem Underdogs. “That should also be a very good game. Top Shottas are a pretty good team but I think Dem Underdogs are hungry for a win, Mr McLean remarked.

Admission to the games is just $1.00.

The National Intermediate Basketball League is sponsored by Digicel (BVI), National Bank of the Virgin Islands, Sol (BVI), Department of Youth Affairs and Sports, Honourable Archibald C. Christian, Biwater, Hon. Alvera Maduro-Caines, Caribbean Insurers Ltd and NAGICO Insurances.

Play will continue on Saturday and Sunday in both the Men’s and 9-12 Divisions.
