ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI - A detailed article entitled “Guana Island: Paradise Found,” tagged the VI’s Guana Island as a must-visit destination. This article was published by author, Bob Taylor on February 6, 2012 on The Washington Times website. It deemed the small island in the BVI as a traveller’s paradise, highlighting many aspects of the unique private destination.

“If Mother Nature ever went on vacation, Guana Island might be one of the places she would choose,” said Bob Taylor, Owner of Taylored Media Services and author of The Century Club book.

Found in the travel section under Travels with Peabod, Mr. Taylor tells readers about his most recent adventure that took him to a secluded island in the VI.

Taking the readers on a step by step journey, Mr. Taylor gave a brief history of Guana Island dating back from the 18th Century to its current status today as a private island that accommodates a maximum of 36 guests. In his description he spoke about the islands seven beaches, three reefs, a salt marsh and the plant life species. “What you can expect are magnificent sunsets, pervasive solitude and casual elegance,” said Mr. Taylor.

The island provides a private experience for you and your guest, one that will leave a lasting impression in the minds of many.

Guana Island is currently one of the two islands in the BVI owned by Dr. Henry Jarecki, psychiatrist, entrepreneur and philanthropist and his wife Gloria Jarecki, Norman Island being the other.

The 850 acre privately-owned island is complimented by 50 species of birds, flocks of Caribbean flamingos, hundreds of species of insects and fourteen species of reptiles and amphibians. The island is drenched with natural beauties and wildlife, which provides an enchanting environment for all visitors.

“It may take several hours of a day to ease yourself into the rhythm of the island’s beguiling charms. Be warned however, Guana is infectious, and once you yield to its contagious allure, it may take weeks to recover,” stated Mr. Taylor.

“Natures Little Secrets are flourishing into natures biggest secret, as news of our captivating assets are infused into the minds of tourists worldwide. Guana Island has provided a special touch of elegance with its lush amenities and attention to nature. We are blessed with such great wonders and are pleased to know that recognition for our niche product continues to grow,” said Hadassah Ward, Director of Tourism.
