Teen remanded on aggravated burglary charge
Samuel, a resident of Kingstown, was not required to offer a plea and reportedly received bail on a similar matter which he had pleaded guilty to weeks after the alleged burglary took place.
He is represented by attorney Stephen Daniels.
The Virtual Complainant (VC) made a report to police on September 9, 2013 which stated that he and his girlfriend were at home when he heard a knock and looked outside to ascertain who was there.
He reportedly saw two individuals standing on his porch, both wearing masks and he observed that one had an object believed to be a gun.
Then one of the persons outside attempted to open the door but it was locked so they attempted to kick the door which became damaged. The VC subsequently heard an explosion which sounded like a gunshot.
Officers later arrived at the home and removed evidence, including a spent shell. They also lifted fingerprints.
The defendant was later met at the Road Town Police Station and informed of the report by the VC and cautioned but reportedly made no reply. He was then arrested on suspicion of aggravated burglary.
The following day an interview was conducted under caution where he allegedly denied the allegations and said he had never been to the residence of the VC.
The defendant was then formally charged for aggravated burglary. It was further noted that prints found at the scene allegedly matched those of the defendant.
Samuel will return to court on December 13, 2014.

Those who rage war and terrorism against my people will be brought to justice in a court of law,and I am confident that those who put my people in fear and danger of violence in the peace of their homes and of their peaceful country in Her Majesty's peacful territory, will face justice..
