ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- Traffic along Fish Lock Road in Road Town was interrupted following an accident between two SUVs in front of Flow around 7:30 pm today, July 19, 2019.

According to reports reaching Virgin Islands News Online, one of the SUVs, licence plate PB 791, was heading North in the turning lane to proceed right into Fleming Street when it collided with the other SUV, with licence plate PS 992, which was heading South.

No one was reportedly injured in the collision; however, a tow truck had to be called to the scene to remove one of the vehicles that received damages to its right front wheel.

The accident on Fish Lock Road took place over an hour after a motor scooter slammed into a car on De Castro Street, also in the capital Road Town.

I personally think that the presents of more police on the roadways might help reduce traffic offences: my goodnesses, the public roads are filled with all manner of moving violations and I am submitting people will continue because they are getting away with it: our country now have far more police and yet one scarcely see any of them until you call the police station then they shows in numbers up to launch an investigation: yes I said it!!!!

I'm glad no one was injured in this SUV collision. It's been a while since an accident that did not involve a motor scooter or a taxi on Tortola.
