These right hand drive vehicles are no good, they are very much inferior vehicles. They should be banned from the BVI.

Right hand drive is the right vehicle for our traffic. You can't blame mediocre drivers on the orientation of a vehicle steering wheel. I see folks here driving left hand drive and doing crazy things on the road also. I like both left and right hand vehicles so stop the hate.

He hit the parked car because he's on the wrong side of the vehicle. There is limited perception on right hand drive vehicles while driving on predominantly left hand drive roads. For that reasons there will be numerous more accidents now that the place is full of those right hand vehicles.

Does your brain work properly? Left hand drive is actually the wrong side for our roads. Have you noticed that in the US where these cars are designed to be operated they drive on the opposite side? We should have right hand drive cars just like in the UK Japan and the rest of the Caribbean. We have left hand due to ease of importation and preference, The accident was likely as a result of alcohol or driver fatigue.

Maybe, just maybe all the VI could start driving on the right since most cars are left hand drive

All them vehicles want moving from in front the PUB them make the road very narrow when two large vehicles have to pass each other and some ppl park trucks there to. nothing wrong with right hand drive because you idiots do go the the USA and drive on the opposite side road with a left hand drive and it the same as a right hand in BVI, but i believe that BVI drivers cant drive and scared to be in the road so staying to the edge them safe from accidents and injuring themselves.

Hey JYD, I am quite sure if you drive, you are one of the idiots also. As far as BVI drivers can't drive, I will drive you under the street if you get in my way. You drive in America like I have, you can drive anywhere in the world be it right/left hand steering, standard or automatic.

Do you all that the best suited vehicle for the roads ( Traffic)in the BVIs is Right Hand Drive. I won't even tell you why, because you guys think you all are so Americanise and knows every think about the traffic in the BVIs and you are dead dead wrong. It's not opinion but facts.

Ppl need to grow the hell up. Its not that there is limited perception with right hand drive! It means that the person has a poor sense of perception overall and needs more practice! There are plenty of situations where the collision could have happened on the opposite end for a lhd vehicle

In this day and age ignorance is inexcusable. Far too many commentors on here would lose in an IQ test against a preschooler. Please do yourselves a favour and READ! Not comic books, Facebook pages or VINO. Read books, get on the internet and read reputable newspapers from around the world, research topics where you know little or require more expertise. The world is far bigger than the BVI. You do yourself a great disservice being ignorant. Every intelligent person that read the comment stating right hand drive vehicles are inferior and should be banned just cringed in horror that that level of stupudity exists!!!!! Do you truly believe that the placement of a steering wheel renders a vehicle inferior or not? I hope rather that you merely failed to express your opinion correctly.

The history of the placement of the steering wheel has more to do with safety and being closer to the center line of the road. The BVI has a unique system due to the influence of the North American vehicles on the British roadways we adopted. In truth, to be consistent with the rest of the world either ALL of the vehicles in the BVI should be right hand drive or the lane directions reversed due to the vast majority of vehicles being left hand drive. However, my personal experience is that seeing the center line of the roadway is not as important as being able to keep an eye on the edge of the cliff that lacks barriers or the side of a hillside and brush hanging out over the laneway; hence I appreciate driving a vehicle on the outer side of the lane! But when it all comes down to it what does it really matter when the majority of BVI drivers choose to drive down the center of the street anyways. What should be enforced is an adjustment to the headlights to account for the cars driving in the opposite lanes than intended.
