ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- Sometime before 11:00am today, Monday, March 30, 2020, a man broke into Sunshine Grocery Store located on Chalwell Street close to 'Fonseca Block' in Road Town, Tortola, and made off with a number of items.

Swift action by police; however, resulted in the arrest of the perpetrator and investigations are ongoing.

Reports reaching our newsroom indicate that the burglar was caught 'red-handed' with many of the items taken from the store in his possession.

We will bring you more details as they become available.

The Virgin Islands is currently on lock-down to mitigate community transmission of COVID-19.

    Was it food items? If this is 100% food items and no electrical merchandise things must be difficulty hard and if so I’d like to assist. Them should still be fully charged for 1) not respecting the curfew 2) for stealing. Thanks to all involved with help made the arrest.
