VALLEY, Virgin Gorda, VI- In low scoring affairs, Sugar Boyz and One Love secured their place in the final of the 2013 Virgin Gorda Cup at the Virgin Gorda Recreation Ground on Wednesday November 6, 2013.
Sugar Boyz dominated play in their game against VG United but was only able to get past the heroic goalkeeper Benjamin Camille just once. Camille was kept busy all night but pulled off a number of spectacular saves to ensure a respectable score-line.
Leonard Davis scored the lone and important goal for Sugar Boyz in the second half.
The second semi-finals saw Ballstarz hold most of the possession against One Love, however, it was One Love who found themselves on the score sheet in the first half.
Chevaughn Williams got the ball past Ballstarz goalkeeper Maxcell Dabreo against the run of play. Ballstarz were guilty of squandering at least three chances for goal.
The final will be contested at the same venue on Sunday November 10, 2013.
