PARAQUITA BAY, Tortola, VI - The Mourant, H. Lavity Stoutt Community College (HLSCC) Classic Series continued at the college’s Paraquita Bay campus on Saturday September, 29, 2018, with Clifton Struiken in record form in the Open 2 mile division.

Struiken covered the loop in a time of 10 minutes 38.12 seconds, to break the 21-year record of 10:45.3, held by Lyndell Roberts.

Cliff had the pleasure of his wife Kim, joining him as she claimed the victory in the women's division, with a time of 13:13.31, marking the first time in series history, that a husband and wife combo, were victorious in the same race.

 In the One Mile U9 and U11 Divisions, Charlie Potgieter and Taryn Augustine continue to lead the Boys and Girls sections respectively. 

Meanwhile, in the Cross Country Division, Cedar leads the Secondary section, while in the Primary Division Team Althea Scatliffe has joined the series and tied for first in race 2 with Team Cedar.

In other Cross Country action, the Cedar School Parents and Teachers Team and Rotary Club of Tortola Team, lead the Community Partners and Service Clubs categories.

The College Classic Series heads back to Virgin Gorda for race two there this Saturday 6th October.
