ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI - Traffic along James Walter Francis Dual Carriageway was affected for some time today October 26, 2015 after a vehicle belonging to the Government Information Services (GIS) became immobile.

This happened during the afternoon rush hour around 4:10 pm as persons were pouring out of Road Town to outlying areas on Tortola.

When this news site arrived on the scene, the vehicle was being harnessed in preparation for towing as persons waited impatiently to get moving again.

To the relief of scores of road users, the stalled vehicle was towed away some minutes after it became immobile but not before backing up traffic almost to a standstill.

It is yet unclear what the cause of the vehicle becoming stationary was. Calls to GIS for a comment yielded no results.
