Stage set for Miss Caribbean World Pageant!

- 18 delegates confirmed for participation in prestigious pageant
The reigning Miss Caribbean World.
ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI – Production plans for the 7th Annual Miss Caribbean World Pageant, is on the way. The committee which is comprised of a hard working team for the much anticipated regional pageant is gearing up for a spectacular competition which will take place at the Multipurpose Sports Complex at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday May 5, 2012.

A total of eighteen (18) delegates from throughout the Caribbean will be hosted in the British Virgin Islands: Anguilla, Antigua & Barbuda, British Virgin Islands, Cuba, Curacao, Dominica, Dominican Republic, Guyana, Jamaica, Margarita Island, St Kitts & Nevis, St Lucia, St. Maarten, St Vincent & the Grenadines , Trinidad & Tobago, USA, US Virgin Islands, Venezuela. They have all been confirmed to compete for the chance to be crowned Miss. Caribbean World 2012.

The committee has noted that for the first time in the pageants history Miss St. Vincent & the Grenadines and Miss St. Maarten will be among the delegates participating for the prestigious title of Miss Caribbean World.

The delegates will arrive in the British Virgin Islands on Tuesday May 1, and are expected to compete in five segments: Swimwear, Costume, Talent, Evening Wear and Interview. The interview will take place prior to the night of competition; this will be done in the Eileene L. Parsons Auditorium at the H. Lavity Stoutt Community College on Wednesday 2, May at 5:30 p.m. The general public is urged to come out and support the delegates; the interview segment carries the highest set of scores for the competition. Admission is FREE.

Ticket for the pageant, is $25 in advance and $30 at the door. Tickets will be available two weeks prior to the pageant and can be purchase at J&C Department Store and Bolos. The committee is encouraging persons to secure their tickets early to witness the crowning of the 7th Annual Queen.

Additionally the committee would like to highlight and appealed to persons to keep in mind that the Miss Caribbean World Pageant is not just a pageant but actually has embark on a community service project which will assist in providing two one year book scholarships for two students that will be attending HLSCC. Two students will benefit from this on a yearly basis.
