St. Vincent takes BVICF Election Classic Title

ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI – Hot on the heels of the February 25, 2019, General Elections in the Virgin Islands, (VI) the BVI Cycling Federation (BVICF) held its 2019 Election Classic bicycle race last Saturday, February 17, 2019.

Unable to make the trip was a Haitian team, however, the top three finishers did so after 74.2 miles ride which came down to a sprint to the finish line.

‘Sailor’ comes in first

First in was Trevor Bailey aka ‘Sailor' from St Vincent and the Grenadines in a time of 357:40 with second place going to Seon Weatheved from Antigua and Barbuda at 357:45.

Third place went to Philippe Leroy with a time of 357:47 and Olympia Fahie complete 2 laps in 40:59.

The event was sponsor by the BVI Olympic Committee (BVIOC), National Bank of the Virgin Islands, Village Cay Hotel & Marina, One Stop Mall, TSBC Company LTD and Eugene Penn Taxi Services.

The federation also thanked all who made the event possible including Daphnie Blyden Smith and Family Catering services for their help and support.
