St Thomas USVI man arrested for multiple rapes

CHARLOTTE AMALIE, St Thomas, USVI - Police here in St Thomas, USVI, on Friday December 18, 2015 arrested a man wanted on multiple rape charges, VIPD Public Information Officer Kevin Jackson announced via a press release issued on Tuesday.

Mr. Jackson said 31-year-old Gleavorn Wrensford of Habbets Gade was arrested on a warrant issued by the Superior Court of the United States Virgin Islands. He was charged with second degree aggravated rape and second degree unlawful sexual contact.

Unable to make bail of $50,000, Wrensford was remanded to the Bureau of Corrections pending his advise-of-rights hearing.

    I have an idea for BVI Double the penalty for anyone here that commits a crime and on a work permit. Triple the fine if here for extended stay, not on a work permit (permit has run out - NOT visitors)
