FREDERIKSTED, St Croix, USVI — A woman who told police that she was raped at a bus stop in Frederiksted, received medical attention at the Juan F. Luis Hospital following the incident, according to a press release issued late Monday January 18, 2016 by Sakeeda Freeman, the (US) VIPD’s media specialist.

Ms Freeman said at about 11:36am on Saturday, January 16, 2016 officers received notification of a rape victim seeking treatment at JFL.

Officers then met with the victim, a 36-year-old female, who stated that on the morning of January 15, 2016 at roughly 9am, she was sitting at the bus stop adjacent to Amigo’s Gas Station, when a vagrant/homeless man approached her. The victim said she was familiar with the man that attacked her and provided police with a description and information in regards to where he can be located.

He needed two kicks where the sun doesn't shine. More women need to do a class in self defense for when confronted with situations like this.

Help me here; I am trying to understand this story. The time was roughly 9am, this is broad morning. Where were the other people who might be waiting for a bus (senior citizens, school children, persons going to work etc.)? Nothing was mentioned about her screaming for help. If he is homeless the more reason to scream your lungs out for help, somebody must come to your aid. These homeless people do not go to doctors to get check-up, only God knows what they are carrying, and again some of them don’t bath, their body scent wants to strangle you. For this reason, I would encourage women to fight these criminals off of you; they cannot have the whole of your body pinned down that you cannot defend yourself. Use your fist, head, knee or feet to push them off.

With all the violence that's on the rise in Cruz it's no wonder cruise ships are cancelling stops over there. In the past the residents robbed and assaulted the tourists so much the ships pulled out completely. Now that they start coming back the idiots busy making history once again with the violence. What they think will happen when the cruise liners hear of what's going on there, they will pull out to safeguard their passengers resulting in a lost of revenue for many businesses, SMH what a place

Crime is a socio-economic and global issue. Rape is one of tge most underreported cromes. Yes even right here in the bvi. As far as the cruise ship, perhaps you missed the story so now wait for the other side of the story.
