ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI – The playoffs in the Berth ‘Big Man’ Henley Fast Pitch Softball League are all but set with the Blue Wings missing out on the Post Season in the Mens’ Division, but in the Womens the Crushers and Rams have still to settle who will progress.

The Warriors beat the Crushers on Tuesday Night 14-10 to clinch their place and now it’s just down to the Rams and Crushers as to who will grab the last spot.

The round of matches last weekend saw the Hawks defeat the Lady Crushers 11-10. Hawks had 11 runs, 8 hits, 9 errors and left 5 runners on base. Lady Crushers had 10 runs, 7 hits, 4 errors, and left 8 runners on base. The winning pitcher was Perline Scatliffe-Leonard and the loser was Karen Gonzalez.

Shereen Hodge of Hawks went 1-3 with a home run and 4 runs batted in and Perline Leonard went 2-4 with a double and 3 runs batted in. Chandni Wattley of Lady Crushers went 1-3 with 2 runs batted in and Karen Gonzalez went 2-5 with 3 runs scored.

The Pirates defeat the Dominicanos 15-10. Pirates had 15 runs, 15 hits, 4 errors and left 3 runners on base. Dominicanos had 10 runs, 14 hits, 0 errors and left 12 runners on base. The winning pitcher was Allen Smith and the loser was Yervis Rodriguez.

Dwight Brooks and Rico Penn of Pirates each had 2 hits, a run scored and 3 runs batted in. Penn and Nateshon Thomas each had a home run. Eddy Morales and Carlos Casey of Dominicanos each had 3 hits and 3 runs batted in.

The Pythons defeated West End Warriors 16-1. Pythons had 16 runs, 9 hits, 1 error and left 1 runner on base. West End Warriors had 1 run, 1 hit, 6 errors and left 4 runners on base. The winning pitcher was Sheniqua Fahie and the loser was Daphne Smith. Pythons offense was powered with home runs by Darier Malone, Marisa Malone and Jelisa Potter. Kenesha Stoutt homered for the West End Warriors’ only hit and run.

Power Outage defeated Reds 6-3. Power Outage had 6 runs, 8 hits, 4 errors and left 5 runners on base. Reds had 3 runs, 5 hits, 2 errors and left 5 runners on base. The winning pitcher was Neville Smith and the loser was Dariel Robinson.

Jeremy Penn of Power Outage went 3-4 with a double, a home run, a run scored and 3 runs batted in and Rhodni A. Skelton also homered for Power Outage.

The regular season schedule for the men’s division concluded with a Power Outage victory by forfeit over Dominicanos who failed to field a team.
