Smith was named in the BBL Team of the Week following his dominant performance in last Saturday’s victory over the Worcester Wolves, a sixth straight win in all competitions, as he finished with a huge double-double of 19 points and 12 rebounds to go along with three blocked shots.

Smith was selected to the BBL Team of the Week on the back of several match winning contributions to the resurgent Flyers, who had been unbeaten in 2017 until meeting the Raiders.

Against the Raiders he turned in 18 points, 12 rebounds, 1 steal, and 1 block that proved not quite enough to make it win number seven.

Smith shot 6 of 14 from the field and made 6 of 7 visits to the Free Throw line.

The Flyers held a 21 point lead and were ahead for almost all of regulation time, until Plymouth, with just seconds remaining, hit back to back three pointers to send the match to over time.

The Flyers were unable to convert on possession and gave away a foul which allowed Plymouth to keep the lead the good and complete one of the most incredible comebacks of the season.
