ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI - Skinny Banton, the Grenadian soca sensation who has been blazing the airwaves with one of his latest ‘soak it good’ the salt fish soca, and Sasso of Poizon Band are the two international artistes that are set to rock after the completion of the HD Promotion’s LIME Soca Monarch 2014 edition.

This highly anticipated intense competition is set for this Friday July 25, 2014 at the Iris Freeman Festiville, Road Town.

According the one of the key organizers Mr Eustace ‘Boss’ Freeman, “Everything is set, it’s going to be a stiff night of competition and a great show for the 60th.”

He said that they have done a number of tweaking to the competition for this year having learnt from the staging of the first of its kind in the Virgin Islands during the 2013 Festival season. “The show will be of a much higher standard that’s for sure, we have been working at it right after the first one last year and we know that our patrons will enjoy a great show and competition,” assured Mr Freeman.

Mr Freeman said that LIME must be credited for their massive input which has made the competition soar to a massively high standard. Already the HD Promotion has set the order at which the contestants will be appearing on stage come Friday Night.

The groovy segment will see Shilloh coming out first followed by JJ, Epic, Stamma, B’more, Miri and JJ, Makisha, Nalo and then the reigning Groovy Monarch Tino who will be defending his crown.

The order of appearance for the ‘Power’ segment will be Shilloh first, Ringo Star, Jena, Daddy Pitt, Spice, Tino and the reigning ‘Power’ Monarch Kingman.

In addition to the featured international artists that will be capping off the night they crowd can expect the best of ‘Boss’ of the Showtime Band who will be flavouring the night with the local cultural tasting musical entertainment.

If there are so much sponsorship for these events why is it costing so much to enter. if the price were lower I think there will be more people attending these events. Try dropping the prices and see if you do not have more people attending. I guess we have not learned anything from previous years.
