With its relationship with Rdio, Digicel has facilitated greater exposure for Showtime Bands music, now available to a worldwide audience. Rdio is an online music service that offers ad-supported free streaming service and ad-free subscription services in 85 countries.

Also, Digicel customers can listen to up to 30 minutes of free music every day on the Rdio app when they subscribe to a Digicel 4G Mobile data plan. Fans of Showtime Band can listen to their favorite tracks for free every day, powered by Digicel 4G.

Established in 1998, Showtime Band has produced 15 Soca Albums to date, most recently “Carnival Zombie”. The band is a local favorite at Festival Events, Virgin Gorda Easter Festival, Music Fest, and regularly tour the Caribbean. They continue to be the BVI’s biggest band, accrediting their continued success to their extraordinary passion for producing musical sounds that appeal to everyone.

Digicel BVI CEO, Conor Looney, commented, “We know without a doubt that Showtime Band can produce excellent music. However, our new partnership is about more than that.  Like Digicel, Showtime Band is passionate about giving back to the community. Our long-term goal is to work together with local schools to empower and inspire children to learn about music.”

Both Digicel and Showtime recently made a contribution to the Joyce Samuels Primary School. Digicel and the band donated money and promotional items to buy musical instruments for the schools music department.  "This is just the beginning of Digicel’s relationship with Showtime Band," commented Looney.
