Shots fired following lovers' row at night club

FREE BOTTOM, Tortola, VI - What was initially a toilet row at a popular night club in Free Bottom turned out to be a neighbourhood scare as the situation escalated on the frontage of the club with several gun shots being fired in the wee hours of Saturday October 24, 2015.

According to persons close to the incident, a couple that was imbibing at the club got into a heated argument.

The argument, it is alleged, stemmed from the female engaging in what the male partner considered a disrespectful interaction with another man in the club.

"You were hearing everything they arguing about loud and clear and the next thing you know when they came out of the club still quarreling the other guy confronted the man," an eyewitness told this news site.

It is alleged that things got out of control and the three took the 'beef' to the streets but it was short-lived as it is said that the 'outside man' pulled out a gun and fired off several shots.

A neighbour told this news site that he peeped outside to see what was going on when he noticed a man banishing what appeared to have been a gun and another shot was fired off. He said police officers arrived on the scene shortly after but he wasn't sure if those involved were still there at that time.

There were no reports of anyone being injured and it is not clear whether the shots were fired in anyone's direction.

Contacted Yesterday afternoon, October 25, 2015, Police Information Officer Diane Drayton said up to the time of communication she had no information indicating that anyone was arrested or taken into custody over the incident.

      sounds more like they went out together and she see a "friend" in the club and give him a lil whine. Partna see and cuss she off and when they went outside the "friend" didnt play his position.

    It was not the young lady that was with another man but the young man that was with another woman -a stripper......in this day and age family members can't help each other out buddy....guess if you do you are considered the other man/woman.

    These women have no quality. Why are they at a strip club? There are so much to learn that is fun and fulfilling. Most women on tola need to spend more time in the gym and church however, them lazy @$$3$ want to drink and party 24/7. Get a life women.
