Several charged for driving without licence & insurance

ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- Arrests of unlicenced drivers dominated the Royal Virgin Islands Police (RVIPF) Arrest Blotter for the period, December 8 to 21, 2019.

On December 13, 2019, Police arrested and charged Osaniss Bassaragh, 28, of Purcell Estate for Driving Without a Driver’s Licence, Reckless Driving, Driving an Unlicensed and Uninsured Vehicle and Insulting Language. He was granted bail in the amount of $5,000 with one signed surety to appear before the Magistrate’s Court on January 27, 2020.

On December 19, 2019, Police arrested and charged Nikita Naval, 24, of Sea Cow’s Bay for Driving Without a Driver’s Licence and Driving When Not Covered by a Policy of Insurance. He was granted bail in the amount of $1,000 with one signed surety to appear before the Magistrate’s Court on January 20, 2020.

On December 20, 2019, Police arrested and charged Richardo Martin, of Baughers Bay for Driving Without a Driver’s License and Driving Without Insurance and Failing to Stop at Stop Lights. He was granted bail in the amount of $5,000 with one signed surety to appear before the Magistrate’s Court on January 30, 2020.

On December 20, 2019, Police arrested and charged Charles Hawkings Byass, 26, of North Sound, Virgin Gorda, for Driving Without a Driver’s Licence, Failing to Report an Accident Where Damage to Property is Caused, Reckless Driving, Driving When Not Covered by a Policy of Insurance, Failing to Stop at the Scene of an Accident and 2 counts of Criminal Damage.

WOUNDING

On 12-12-19 at 1100hrs, Police arrested and charged Deschon Hodge, 19 of Huntum’s Ghut for Unlawful and Malicious Wounding and Possession of a Firearm with Intent to Endanger Life. He appeared before the Magistrate’s Court and was remanded to Her Majesty’s Prison to reappear before the Magistrate’s Court on 16-01-20 at 0900hrs.

INFLICTING GREVIOUS BODILY HARM

On 15-12-19 at 0848hrs, Police arrested and charged Bob Archibald, 34 of Crab Hill, Virgin Gorda for Inflicting Grievous Bodily Harm. He was granted bail in the amount of $5,000 with one signed surety to appear before the Magistrate’s Court on 23-01-20 at 0900hrs.

THEFT

1. On 12-12-19 at 1050hrs, Police arrested and charged Allina Smith 32 of The Valley, Virgin Gorda, for Theft and Obtaining Property by Deception. She was grnated bail in the amount of $7,000 with one signed surety to appear before the Magistrate’s Court on 23-01-20 at 0900hrs.

2. On 12-12-19 at 1739hrs, Police arrested and charged Keithroy Joseph, 31 of Long Look for 2 counts of Theft. He was granted bail in his own recognisance to appear before the Magistrate’s Court on 13-01-19 at 0900hrs.

ASSAULT OCCASSIONNG ACTUAL BODILY HARM

On 10-12-19 at 0145hrs, Police Arrested and charged Deconte Maduro, 27 of Long Bush for Assault Occasioning Actual Bodily Harm. He was granted bail in the amount of $5,000 with one signed surety to appear before the Magistrate’s Court on 23-01-20 at 0900hrs.

POSSESSION OF PROCEEDS OF CRIMINAL CONDUCT

1. On 21-12-19 at 1600hrs, Police arrested and charged Jerome Nibbs, 41 of Sea Cow’s Bay for Possession of Proceeds of Criminal Conduct and Failing to Declare Monies to Her Majesty’s Customs. He appeared before the Magistrate’s Court and was granted bail in the amount of $100,000, $50,000 cash and $50,000 signed surety to reappear before the Magistrate’s Court on 30-01-20 at 900hrs.

2. On 21-12-19 at 1600hrs, Police arrested and charged Vibert Morgan, 30 of Belle Vue for Possession of Proceeds of Criminal Conduct and Failing to Declare Monies to Her Majesty’s Customs. He appeared before the Magistrate’s Court and was granted bail in the amount of $100,000, $50,000 cash and $50,000 signed surety to reappear before the Magistrate’s Court on 30-01-20 at 900hrs.

UNLAWFUL POSSESSION

1. On 09-12-19 at 1228hrs, Police arrested and charged Jakeil Harrigan, 27 of Harrigan’s Estate for Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Drug. He was granted bail in the amount of $5,000 with one signed surety to appear before the Magistrate’s Court on 05-02-2020 at 0900hrs.

2. On 09-12-2019 at 1300hrs, Police arrested and charged Mickiel Robin, 27 of Spy Glass Hill for Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Drug and Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Drug With Intent to Transfer to Another. He was granted bail in the amount of $5,000 with one signed surety to appear before the Magistrate’s Court on 05-02-20 at 0900hrs.

CRIMINAL DAMAGE

On 13-12-19 at 1630hrs, Police arrested and charged Rean-j Christopher, 20 of Harrigan Estate for Criminal Damage. He was granted bail in the amount of $5,000 with one signed surety to appear before the Magistrate’s Court on 05-02-20 at 0900hrs.

INDECENT LANGUAGE

On 19-12-19 at 2200hrs, Police arrested and charged Kavin Stoddard, 37 of Baugher’s Bay for Indecent Language, Insulting Language, Failing to Comply with a No Entry Sign and Failing to Comply With a One Way Sign. He was granted bail in the amount of $1,000 with one signed surety to appear before the Magistrate’s Court on 20-01-20 at 0900hrs.

THREATENING LANGUAGE

On 21-12-19 at 1755, Police arrested and charged Kaheem Clarence, 24 of Long Bush for Threatening Language. He was grantd bail in the amount of $5,000 with one signed surety to appear before the Magistrate’s Court on 22-01-19 at 0900hrs.

    At least they are doing something. What are you doing to help Natures Little Secret but just sit there and bla bla bla. Stop encouraging wrong. Do, is a problem, don't do is still a Dam problem. You all are so sickening.
    Why do you all people think that it is ok to break the law regardless of how small or big the offence is..
