ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- Everyone seems to be tight-lipped about a meeting scheduled for today Sunday December 13, 2015 on two of British Billionaire Sir Richard Charles Nicholas Branson’s private islands- Necker and Mosquito.

Both islands are located in the Virgin Islands (VI) and cater for extremely high end visitors and property owners.

Youth to lead

The gathering of about 20 plus handpicked youths today will be taken on a wildlife tour of Necker Island before they move on to Mosquito Island, which is located off the coast of Virgin Gorda, where they are expected to get down to business in a discussion and presentation to include the environment as a topic.

The youths, which include the Virgin Islands Youth Parliament Members Chezley L. D. Stoddard, and Sonniel O. Pickering, as well as radio personality and Disc Jockey Craig A. Lake aka ‘Push Pop’, local Attorney Maya M. Barry and businesswoman Sasha D. A. Flax, among many others, is schedule to arrive on Necker Island before 1:00 pm today.

The sessions, which will include presentations, has as one of its objectives to engage the territory’s influential youths to be advocates for positive change. It will give the many youth, who are expected to be the leaders of the VI in the next few years, time to mingle with each other and other professionals assembled on both islands.

Access to rub shoulders with the rich & famous

The young people, which also will include former LIME Marketing guru Kareem-Nelson Hull, banker and youth leader Kevon S. Lettsome, Commercial Manager of Caribbean Cellars Kevin S. Fahie, and high powered Attorney Fiona Forbes, will also have time to network and rub shoulders with billionaire Branson who is scheduled to make an appearance.

Acting Premier and Minister for National Resources and Labour Dr The Honourable Kedrick D. Pickering (R7), a friend of Sir Richard C. N. Branson, will also be on hand along with Deputy Permanent Secretary in Pickering’s Ministry, Joseph Smith-Abbott.

It is unclear whether a statement will be released at the end of today’s meeting to highlight the event’s achievements or way forward.

    I do hope that these future leaders go there with a clear mind on the purpose of this gathering, That they are vigilant about the future of the BVI's for BV Islanders and are ready to and not be afraid to ask the hard questions that everyone else seem to avoid when it comes to this individual. That they don't drink schupid bush and become overwhelmed by the display of todays excessive wealth just to be given lip service to.
