SEA COWS BAY, Tortola, VI- The BVI Seventh-day Adventist School’s tradition of excellence has continued this year as the institution once again recorded a 100% pass rate and all 27 students recorded Grade Ones at its School Leaving Exams.

Zoyia T. Ettienne is the school’s top student and Valedictorian, with a perfect GPA of 4.3. Ettienne recorded a total 91.9% at her exams.

The Salutatorian this year is Shania N. Sabaroche, who made 87.6% and a GPA of 4.0.

This information was confirmed by Principal of the school, Mr Wade W. Tobin.

Eighteen (18) of the students made the Honour Roll students, with five (5) achieving High Honours.

The battle for the top student this year will be among the private schools, following the much debated addition of another year for students in the public high schools. The private schools had rejected the proposal by controversial Minister for Education and Culture Hon Myron V. Walwyn.

Tradition of excellence

Last year the BVI Seventh-day Adventist School produced the territory’s top student, Ms Zora S. Williams.

The school also achieved 100% pass rate with all the students receiving grade ones in all their subject areas.

Fifteen (15) of the thirty six (36) student had made the Honour Roll for the territory, with one High Honour.

SDAs have never taught that Jesus has already returned. Also SDAs have never ever predicted a date.

Actually, the SDA Church arose out of the Millerites, and the prediction was for a return on October 22, 1844. After the so-called Great Disappointment, some of the Millerites left, while others spent the next 15 years leading a series of Bible conferences (guided by Ellen G. White) before deciding in 1860 to adopt the SDA name. The first General Conference was held May 20 and 21, 1863.

Congregation to the Principal, staff and Student. With God all things are possible. ESHS loss in the Seventh Day School gain. Trouble for BFEC if what school children saying is true. School children say 6 teachers contact will not be renewed and 5 resign.
