ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- Scotiabank, along with Nagico Insurances, will be introducing the territory's newest vehicle dealership, Tortola Auto Group (TAG), to the Virgin Islands with a massive car sales event dubbed ‘I love Change’ at the Courtesy Car Rental Parking Lot on Saturday November 28, 2015.

The ‘I love Change’ car sales event will be held from 9am to 2pm. It will feature the latest Hyundai vehicles, with TAG being the official dealership for Hyundai vehicles in the Virgin Islands. TAG will be offering 2016 vehicles for as little as 203 to 400 dollars monthly instalments.

The objective, according to Scotiabank, is to introduce TAG as the new and upcoming dealer in the market and offer some incentives as well as some reduction in rates through Scotiabank to encourage customers who are looking to purchase a new vehicle to come to the car sale and hopefully walk away with their dream car.

100% financing

Home Finance Specialist & Auto Finance Specialist at Scotiabank BVI, Mr Olanzo A. Boynes, said Scotiabank will be offering100% financing and up to 84 months payment terms at 6.99% interest rate on new vehicles.

“We are proud to say that we have 6.99% interest rate on new vehicles. We have up to 100% financing on new and used vehicles up to five years old and then of course we have up to 84 months as far as the amortisation period, which is 7 years.”

As part of the deal too, Scotiabank will be waiving its application fee and is guaranteeing fast turnaround time which, according to Mr Boynes, will be dependent on whether customers have all their information in order.

“We encourage all dealers as far as car sales are concerned and we were very grateful for the opportunity when we were approached by TAG to be the premier financing company for its car sales event.”

Flat premium rate of $500

Shaquilla K. Smith, Customer Service Representative at Nagico Insurances BVI, announced that Nagico will be offering a flat annual premium rate of $500 regardless of vehicle value.

She also disclosed that the first 100 persons to enter the car sales venue on Saturday would be entered into a raffle to win $500. The raffle will be drawn at 1:30pm.

Meanwhile, construction work is still ongoing in Prospect Reef, Tortola for the intended location of Tortola Auto Group, expected to comprise vehicle sales showroom and a service centre.

The flagship vehicle of TAG is said to be the 2016 Hyundai Tucson, a mid-sized sports utility wagon which offers comfort and amenities for the driver who cares about not only style and performance but also fuel efficiency.

Ask the bank what difference it makes if you buy from TAG or any other dealership.... NONE.... the deals are all the same. Stop trying to trick people with false incentives.... if your product is good, people will buy it.

Wow it's so powerful to see my people getting wiser we want a piece of the pie house and land security. He who owns the land is he who controls. Yes my people we can see clearly now . These comments will set the right mindset we will be fools no longer. Cars depreciate house and land value for life . Peace and blessings.

the island doesn't need more brand new cars which will get scratched on rough roads. They are inappropriate for the touraine. You going to drive them to town? where are you going to park? you going to block someone in while you run an errand? You going to spend all your school money on insurance, registration and gas? too bad. Tortola can't be cosmopolitan because it is not that big.

Although this is a very laudable idea, it just shows how tremendous the gap is between the super rich and everybody else in this country.
