Sailboat runs aground @ Prospect Reef

PROSPECT REEF, Tortola, VI – A sailboat yesterday February 19, 2015 ran aground on some rocks in the vicinity of Prospect Reef, Tortola.
However, when this news site checked with the Royal Virgin Islands Police Force’s (RVIPF) Public Relations Unit, they had no information up to press time as to the circumstances of how the boat ended up where it was and whether persons were injured as a result.
Several other sources with whom this news site made contact did not have any knowledge or information regarding the incident.
When contacted, Virgin Islands Search and Rescue (VISAR) said that they were not called about the boat and therefore were not involved in any operation concerning it.
We will bring you further details when available.
