GREAT MOUNTAIN, Tortola, VI - In yet another unfortunate early 2015 incident, a Safari taxi was completely destroyed by fire in the Great Mountain area today, January 2, 2015.

According to an eyewitness, the blue Safari vehicle burst into flames shortly after the driver stopped and disembarked.

"Thank God it hadn't any passenger," said one eyewitness. Reports are that by the time firefighters got to the scene there was not much they could have done to save the taxi but just to put out the inferno.

This incident is said to have occurred sometime around 5:00 -5:15 p.m. today.

Speaking exclusively with this news site, owner of the ill-fated Safari taxi Mr Michael Herbert was loud in praise that nothing worse occurred.

He said he was elevating the hill when the bus developed problems resulting in it going up in flames. But things took a different twist after the firefighters put out the fire and had left. “We were waiting for the firemen to come down after putting out the fire and when they finished  putting out the blaze the bus rolled back down the hill.”

“I guess when they finished out it I guess they didn’t check it … so with the cable and everything burn the truck gave way,” said the owner. "With what took place God is good, with what could have happen with that turning down the hill there, God is Good, God was in the midst that’s all I could say,” Herbert said.

The driver was not in a position to assess the extent of his losses to the dollar at the time of speaking with this news site.

you sound like a fool. Don't you recognize the hand of God when its so visible? Every where, every day in life, no matter how good or bad we are, there will be incidents, there will be accidents. I rebuke you. The BVI is NOT going to hell. There are still a high percentage of people in this place who are called by the name of God and who humble ourselves and pray and seek the face of God. This is a testimony that we did hear from heaven and he saved our land in this incident. Only God knows who prayed for Michael and the other man in the vehicle this morning, somebody somewhere prayed for the other drivers too.

What nonsense about God is good, if that is the case why did he let it happen in the first place. It was just an unfortunate accident and the result is what happen. Nothing to do with God.

For Mr. Herbert to constantly acknowledge the goodness of God in the midst of tragedy is in itself awesome and it says a lot. Keep giving thanks sir and I too am thankful that there were no injuries. All of the vehicles can be replaced, but lives were saved. The entire Territory could have been holding our heads this evening, but 'Oh give Thanks Unto the Lord for He is good'.

Yes, Give thanks unto the Lord for He is good: for his mercy endureth forever.
He is not willing that any should perish....

Yes god is good - he just burn the man livelihood but god is good. If 10 people had been killed you fools would be saying god is good for not making it 11 or god has a plan or some other stupidness. You are all so blinded by your years of brainwashing it is nothing short of comical - though very sad. Get a life.

007 you need to understand. You see, man's decisions bring about consequences. That is the only way for him to learn to make better decisions, even if innocent people die. If God was to interfere in every bad decision, then the world would be nothing but a micro-managed dictatorship.

God allows evil and tragedy, but he keeps it from getting too far out of control. Otherwise planet earth would be almost empty by now from global nuclear war or massive worldwide disease. For example, you see the evil going on in the middle east and you wonder why we are not now in an extinction-level world war 3. So, yes God is good.

Now I'm not saying this is the truck driver's fault. But this almost-tragedy could have been the result of poor maintenance decisions, or shoddy parts, or a vehicle that was on the road too long. It is an experience from which to learn.

Trump, you just proved my point! I guess it was gods plan not to let hitler execute too many jews, for ethnic cleansing in the former Yugoslav republic / Burundi / Rwanda and other places. I suppose it was gods will to allow what is going on in he middle east, its gods will to allow perverts to interefere with children, it was gods will not to let too many Ethiopian children die of starvation and malnutrition. What a great god you look up to - NOT. I really wish that some of you people would actually question what you have been programmed to believe, there are so many obvious flaws that it should be at least triggering questions in some of you peoples heads.
You god is a loving god, a caring god, a forgiving god but if you don't believe in him he will sentence you to eternal pain and suffering in your fictional hell. Nice guy! Please for a moment stop and think about some of the stupidness said in the name of religion - any of the many religions and even more gods.
