RVIPF carries out drug destruction

ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI - In carrying out its final drug destruction for the year 2012, the Royal Virgin Islands Police Force destroyed 114 kilos of cocaine at the Government’s Incinerator Plant at Pockwood Pond this morning.
The drugs, seen here in the back of a Police vehicle at Pockwood Pond in preparation for burning, were destroyed after being analysed, photographed and logged for evidential purposes.
The Special Investigation Unit of the Royal Virgin Islands Police Force conducted the recording and counting aided by a member of the Police Service Commission and armed officers of the Tactical Firearm Unit.
