Rock Café re-opens tonight with top rated local chef

VALLEY, Virgin Gorda, VI - "It give us a sense of pride to have one of our own bring class and executive chef experience to our Tree House facility here in Virgin Gorda especially at this time," said Sasha D. A. Flax senior manager of the Rock Café string of entertainment spots at one address, speaking to Virgin Islands News Online.

That person is Mr Jermaine "Monk" George and according to Ms Flax tonight’s (November 26, 2014) re-opening of the Tree House coincides with its one year anniversary and that of their Club Ecstasy.

‎"‎The Rock Cafe is excited to announce the arrival of our new Executive Chef, Jermaine "Monk" George who will oversee our amazing team in food that enhances our guests’ experience!" she said.

Further, Ms Flax indicated that Mr George who possesses a dynamic culinary talent, began his career at the Culinary Institute of America and now comes with over a decade of fine dining experience in Maine, New York and with the most recent being Virgin Gorda's Biras Creek Resort.

“Mr George is also a member of our renowned BVI Culinary Team and has represented the BVI on multiple occasions with excellent results,” said Flax.

“Combining the talents of our excellent culinary staff, Monk, with his own creative inspirations, has put forth an outstanding menu for the season re-opening of our Tree House Restaurant...it will surely be the experience above it all!" ‎she said.

The Rock Café & Sam’s Piano Bar has been in operation for over 18 years. Recently adding The Rock Café’s Tree House and Club Ecstasy/Sports Bar in December of 2014, “our mission continues to be one of diversification in dining and entertainment in the British Virgin Islands.”

    I Personally think having Munk and aka Big Show and that establishment is only good for business 100%. Munk is experience fill with knowledge around the kitchen & customers service.

    I really think this will only be an A+ for the business. Do take care of Munk & big show
