ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI -Prices were slashed and free food and snacks were at the ready, along with door prizes, deals, giveaways, and free entertainment for kids, all part of the three-day Customers' Appreciation event at Rite Way Food Market stores in the Territory.

The supermarket giant held a ‘Show of Love and Appreciation’ for customers, on September 6, 2018, through to September 8, 2018.

Management and staff were not left out of the treat.

On Wednesday 5, 2018, Rite Way hosted a dinner at the Brandywine Rooftop Restaurant, to thank and recognise the ‘extra effort,’ in helping the company to get back up and running.

Present for the appreciation dinner was outgoing Premier and Minister of Finance, Dr the Honourable D. Orlando Smith (AL) and His Excellency Governor Augustus J.U. Jaspert, along with other elected Members of the House of Assembly and members of civil society.

Also present for Rite Way’s three-day event was the company's Managing Director Mr Guy Strickland, who said, “this is our way of saying thank you to our customers.”

Virgin Islands News Online was told that the company’s Canadian Board of Directors also flew to Territory, to lend support to the islands and employees who suffered as a result of Irma.

A special meeting of the Board of Directors was held in the Territory on September 6, 2018.

Why can't local business owners do the same? The prices are over the top, and has been for many years. Why all the greed? That is why many of us travel abroad for savings. Thank you foreign business owners you but our people to shame!
