Ricketts & Lindsay win 2020 Hauteville Trust 5K Series opener

ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- The Hauteville Trust 5K Series kicked off at the A. O. Shirley Recreation Ground in Road Town on Saturday, February 22, 2020 with Jermaine Ricketts aka 'JJ' and Katrina Lindsay bagging the wins.

Ricketts took control of the race after the first mile, opening up a lead on Reuben J. A. Stoby, to win in 18.11. 

Stoby had to settle for second in 18:43 while Julius Farley finished third in 19: 26.

Lindsay was the first female in, clocking 20.01.

Taking second was Caroline Sorrentino in 21:56 while third was Zoe Sorrentino in 22:25.

Race course

The race started at the Mondo track, proceeded west and turned right at D. Orlando Smith Hospital and proceeded to Main Street then turned left at Elmore Stoutt High School into Lower Estate, then into Huntums Ghut and proceeded to Station Road, then James Walter Francis Drive and back to the track.

Some 60 runners took to the start line.

The next race of the series is in Carrot Bay on March 14, 2020.
