ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- Reverend Melvin A. Turnbull, the prominent preacher and father of 2nd District Representative Hon Melvin 'Mitch' Turnbull, was taken to Peebles Hospital a few days ago after complaining of chest pains, sources have informed Virgin Islands News Online.

Mr Turnbull, who works in Records Management at the Financial Services Commission (FSC), is said to be recovering well and is expected to be discharged today, October 2, 2015.

'He was complaining of chest pains, like a heart scare," a source told Virgin Islands News Online.

Efforts to reach Mr Turnbull's relatives for an update on his condition were futile.

Mr Melvin A. Turnbull is the lead pastor at the Cane Garden Bay Baptist Church.

He is also never shy to speak out on issues affecting the territory.
