Rental driver flees scene of accident @ Duff's Bottom

DUFF'S BOTTOM, Tortola, VI- Some persons at Duff's Bottom, Tortola were awakened to a loud noise early June 16, 2017 and, on checking it out, discovered that a rental Jeep, with number plate RT 2977, had slammed into a parked truck in a nearby yard.

The rental, however, was without the driver, who allegedly fled the scene of the accident that took place around 4:00 AM.

Both vehicles were damaged.

According to reports, police arrived on the scene around 7:00 AM; however, the driver did not show up.

It is this news site’s understanding that the owner of the rental vehicle has since been located but it is not clear if the driver has since showed up.

    So the accident happened at approximately 4:00am but the police didn't report to the scene until 7:00am. 3hrs later! WOW!!

      @ wow, yes that's true, the accident already happened, man fled, no one hurt so why run go to the scene instead of go looking for this runaway driver, visit the hospital and check surroundings for the man

    we always quick to jump. who say the driver aint call someone to take them to the hospital. the driver while know his name on the paper the rental give them.

    Why u always look for garbage? Did the information say the accident happened at 4 am,, reported to the police a minute or two later and they turned up at 7 am? There are a lot of positive news on this site that u could make useful contribution to. Why not do or try ?
