Pythons on the brink of Softball Championship

ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI – The Pythons remained unbeaten in the BVI Softball Association Fast Pitch Women’s League, following a 16-3 win over the Hawks on Friday July 24, 2015. They are now just one victory away from lifting the Championship.

The game, which got action underway for the weekend, saw the Pythons cruise to the win on 9 hits, 3 errors and left 5 runners on base, whilst the Hawks had 2 hits, 8 errors and left 6 runners on base.

The winning pitcher was Valisia Brathwaite and the loser was Riiah Durante. Sheniqua Fahie of Pythons went 3-4 with 3 runs scored and Denecia Hodge went 1-3 with a home run, 2 runs scored and 3 runs batted in.

Pythons lead the series 2-0.

Republica Dominicana defeat Reds

In Game 2 of the best of five Playoff Series, the Republica Dominicana defeated Reds 12-2.

Republica Dominicana had 12 runs, 12 hits, 1 error and left 7 runners on base. Reds had 2 runs, 3 hits, 1 error and left 6 runners on base.

The winning pitcher was Yervis Rodriguez and the loser was Warren Brooks.

Alfonso Tejada of Republica Dominicana went 3-3 with a double, 2 home runs, 3 runs scored and 6 runs batted in and Edward Venzen went 3-4 with 2 doubles, a run scored and a run batted in.

Richard Clendinen of Reds went 1-1 with 2 runs batted in.

However, on Saturday the Reds took a 2-1 advantage in the series with a  16-2 victory.

The Reds had 16 runs, 10 hits, 0 errors and left 3 runners on base. Republica Dominicana had 2 runs, 4 hits, 4 errors and left 3 runners on base. The winning pitcher was Roy Hill and the loser was Bryan Scatliffe.

Lloyd Jackson of Reds went 2-3 with a home run, 2 runs scored and 3 runs batted in and Timothy Brewer went 2-3 with a double, a home run, 2 runs scored and 2 runs batted in. George Veras and Edward Venzen of Reds each went 1-2 with a run batted in.

Pirates overpower Power Outage

In the other Play Off, the Pirates defeated Power Outage 14-2. Pirates had 14 runs, 7 hits, 1 error and left 7 runners on base. Power Outage had 2 runs, 6 hits, 5 errors and left 5 runners on base.

The winning pitcher was Allen ‘Woodrow’ Smith and the loser was Joseph Smith.

Devon Bedford of Pirates went 1-3 with a home run, 3 runs scored and 3 runs batted in and Nikos Penn went 1-2 with a run scored and 3 runs batted in.

Sheldon John homered for the Power Outage and knocked in their 2 runs.

Pirates lead the series 2-0.

      no its not, the pythons are easy to beat they pitchers pitch hard yes but all of them are wild, the other coaches just cant see that,,a walk is a run, when under pressure they quake too, that's they weak spot, matter of fact I will bring a team next season and beat them, just to prove what I am saying is right, enjoy your reign girls!
