ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- Public schools across the Territory have been called off for the day, November 6, 2017, due to inclement weather.

The decision to cancel school was made by the Ministry of Education.

There have already been reports reaching this news site of flooded roads in Road Town, Duff's Bottom and Fish Bay on the main island of Tortola.

Meanwhile, H. Lavity Stoutt Community College (HLSCC) announced that classes are suspended for the remainder of today and also for tomorrow November 7, 2017.

According to an earlier forecast by the Department of Disaster Management, the air mass across the region continues to be moist and unstable. This is further enhanced by a trough system in the area and that today will be partly cloudy to cloudy with a high chance of showers and isolated thunderstorms.
