Prolific Potgieter puts Montessori top of BDO Football Standings

ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI – There is just no stopping Charlie Potgieter, who scored his 21st goal of the BDO Primary School Under 7 Season, completing a hat trick in the 4-0 win for Montessori against Agape School on January 16, 2017.

Lochlan Geyser scored the other goal which also cemented top spot in the standings.

Potgieter also scored a hat trick in his previous game, a 6-2 win over First Impressions, which left their opponents 2 points back in joint second with Cedar Green.

Geyser notched a brace and Josh Fudge scored the other, whilst Zahiya Stoutt and Delani Glasgow scored for FIPS.

U9 Action

In BDO U9 Group A action, the top four of Cedar Green, FIPS, Joyce Samuel and Alexandrina Maduro are significantly clear of the rest of the group to have virtually clinched progression to the play offs.

JSPS recorded back to back to wins, 2-1 (Michael Findlay, 2), against AMPS and 1-0 (Findlay), against Althea Scatliffe Red to reach 6 points and be joint third, whilst Cedar and FIPS both have 9.

Robinson O’ Neal/Ciboney are top of Group B with 15 points, although they slipped to a 3-0 defeat by Cedar White, who sit third on 9 points, with Archie Butler scoring twice and Cosmo Vass once. Cedar also beat Althea Scatliffe 5-0 with goals coming from Freddie Rawlins (2), Michael Davies (2) and Sam Hunt.

ASPS, however, clung on to second place with 10 points, with a 1-1 draw against St George’s when Trent Laudat secured them a share of the points after conceding an early own goal.

U12 Action

In Under 12 action, Cedar Green are in top spot with a perfect 27 points from 9 games, following their latest wins, 2-0 against ASPS, (K’Launi Williams, Azarni Callwood) and 5-0 against JSPS, (Ryan Lettsome, Callwood, Darci Reich, Jack Morris and an OG).

Althea Scatliffe sit second on 22 points having also won their last two games, 2-0 against SDA (Johari Lacey, Deandre Rogers) and AMPS, also 2-0 (Lacey and Rogers).

Begrado Flax are third on 18 points and AMPS are fourth after bouncing back from defeat to ASPS with a 0-0 draw against Robinson O’Neal/Ciboney.

Cedar White and St Georges are just outside the top four, with the latter securing a 2-1 win against Leonora Delville, after Xiiomar Gunn netted a late winner following an opener from Jefferson Frank, which was cancelled out by Mikhail Jennings of LDPS.
