ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- News just reaching Virgin Islands News Online is that Her Majesty's Prison inmate Jessroy McKelly has been rushed to Peebles Hospital following an alleged suicide attempt.

According to sources, McKelly allegedly slashed his wrists some time on the evening of March 26, 2013.

It was also alleged that prior to injuring himself, Mr McKelly was throwing a tantrum and even constantly hitting his head against a wall.

McKelly had made headlines on February 2, 2013 when he managed to escape from Her Majesty's Prison. He was subsequently recaptured in the vicinity of Lambert Beach, which is not very far from the HM Prison.

If you know how prayer works, u can actually pray for him right where you are... you do not even need him to be infront of you just you believe in your prayer through faith that it is done. Stop coming on here being holy and sanctimonious and blabbing about prayer

While he's there, I hope he is still restrained somehow or placed in a highly guarded room with no sharp objects and no windows.

Sorry but i have no compassion for this young man - he was man enough to do the crime he should be man enough to do the time. That said on his current path it looks as though he will end up saving tax payers money.

Its time we reconsidered the death penalty!

Section 15 of the V.I Constitution[Protection of right to personal liberty] staes"(1)Every person has the right to liberty and security of the person:(2)No person shall be deprived of his or her personal liberty(,SAVE as may be authorised by law in any of the following cases-(a)in execution of the sentence or ORDER of the court[whether of the virgin islands or otherwise]in respect of a criminal offence of which that person has been convicted or in respect of any other ORDER of the court.") Today is good friday:let us remember that christ died on the cross to save sinners. Jesse may well need help, which I believe he is getting from the good men and women [prison officers]of her majesty's prison;but as we all know, people do not like prison obviously! well I love my freedom-that is why I respect people's lives,[THOU SHALL NOT KILL] I respect their property and their freedom to speak and criticise any body in society[including high ranked persons] .Jesse boy:Based on my catholic doctrines and belief-The dead has a way of haunting its killer. If you did murder this young man,may be it's his -the dead's spirit haunting you.Jesse,I will remember you during prayers today.I will call your mom to sympathize with her,but the Constitution provides for people to be away from social activities,if they commit crimes which affect society..Society must be protected young man.The order of the court must be carried out!!!!
