VALLEY, Virgin Gorda, VI- Preparations for the 53rd Virgin Gorda Easter Festival slated for April 11 -13, 2020 is well underway, Chairman of the Virgin Gorda Easter Festival Sub-Committee Mr Franklin Walters is reporting.

“It’s coming on pretty good,” he said, “We are just finalising a few stuff as we are getting ready to launch the lineup in the next five to eight days. It’s going to be good a lot of fun and one to remember.”

He then called on patrons to enjoy themselves and play their part in having a crime-free weekend.

Activities

The festival represents the single largest and highly anticipated annual event on the sister island and will be held under the theme ‘We partying plenty, plenty for festival 2020.’

The activities for the weekend will commence with the usual cultural food fair on Saturday, April 11, 2020.

Then at 8:00 pm, the village, which will be held at the recreation grounds, will be officially opened for the festivities.

The celebration continues on Sunday, April 12, 2020, with the Wet Fete, the Honourable R.T O’Neal Hat Parade and the Easter Egg Hunt at the Valley Lion’s Club from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm.

Later in the evening, the Calypso Show will be held, followed by more musical entertainment.

The festival will conclude on Monday, April 13, 2020, with the Rise and Shine tramp, the parade and village entertainment.
