Power boat detained @ Police Marine Base

ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- A power boat has been detained by law enforcement authorities, according to sources reaching Virgin Islands News Online.

The vessel, named ‘DONZI’ and fitted with three outboard engines, was detained since Monday May 23, 2016.

Our source’s information was confirmed by Commissioner of Customs, Mr Wade Smith.

"A high speed go fast boat was detained on Monday. I can’t give any other details as investigations are still ongoing,” Mr Smith told Virgin Islands News Online.

The vessel remains docked at the Royal Virgin Islands Police Force (RVIPF) Marine Shore Base at Burt Point.

    Is there a distance the motorboaters must stay away from swimming areas? Today two motorboaters are anchored just about on the beach right in front of the SoggyDollar. They should not be there and maybe summoned so they dont anchor in a swimming area again.
