SAVANNAH BAY, Virgin Gorda, VI - Another sudden death has rocked the Virgin Gorda community as one of its very popular taxi drivers, Armond 'Quashie' Moore, was found dead in his vehicle in the Savannah Bay area close to midnight on March 14, 2015.

Virgin Islands News Online arrived on the scene approximately an hour after news started circulating of his death and among persons gathered at the scene were his son, other family members and friends.

Police were on the scene and the body was still in the vehicle.

From all appearances, the popular taxi driver was heading to the North Sound area when, according to those close to him, he may have suffered a heart attack, causing his vehicle to slam into a shoulder of a hill.

Armond 'Quashie' Moore, who was fondly known as just 'Moh', was said to be in his 60s and was originally from St Vincent and the Grenadines.

More details to come.

It was only on March 4, 2015 that the sudden death of a woman, Cosell Woodley, ‎had left residents of Virgin Gorda in shock..

Reliable sources had told Virgin Islands News Online that the woman, who hailed from St Vincent and the Grenadines and had been working as a heavy equipment operator with Ebony and Ivory Construction, collapsed and died following a return visit to the Iris O'Neal Health Centre.

It is extremely difficult for foreign a nationals coming over to work in the b.v.i leaving family friends and even our partners back home, but even increasingly sad when we don't have proper medical facilities to help us a say from home everything medical wise from a visit to medication is doubled for us making people reluctant to check on our health when needed balancing between our families who depend on us back home paying extremely high rent fees and just trying to stay afloat, sad to say as much as I love the b.v.i I would not advise down islanders to make this their home. Rest in peace moh you will surely be missed.
