Police release video of suspects in Grocery Store Robbery

ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI – Video footage of the suspects in last Monday night’s armed robbery of a Long Bush grocery store has been released in hopes that the public can assist in identifying the two suspects.

The owner of the Long Bush Superette reported to Police that at closing around 10pm his employee was approached by two masked men, one in possession of a firearm, who took an undisclosed amount of cash from the cash register.

Both assailants, who were dressed in all black, then fled on foot toward the Crablot area and the Softball Field.

No injuries were sustained in the incident.

The RVIPF needs the public’s assistance in identifying these men and securing the evidence to get them off the streets therefore the Commissioner of Police will give a reward for any information that will lead to the arrest and/or the recovery of the firearms.

Persons who know or believe they can identify either or both of these suspects can contact the Superintendent of Crime Alexis Charles directly at 468-9350 or the Chief Inspector Duncan Williams at 468-9808 and give this information.
