Police pursue fleeing suspects/seeks public assistance
After responding to a report of an attempted burglary at a Flemming Street store around 3:15am this morning, officers searched the area and found two masked suspects on a scooter fitting the description given. Upon being stopped, one of the suspects pulled a firearm and threatened one of the officers. The officer, who is firearm trained, in turn, drew his firearm and discharged a single shot at the suspects. The two suspects then immediately fled the scene on the scooter.
Police are asking for any information that could help in identifying these suspects. Officers are particularly concern that one of the suspects may be in need of medical attention. Any information given to police in relation to this case would be held in the strictest confidence.
