ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- Police are said to be investigating reports of a sexual assault on a female near Pasea Place in Road Town last night, July 5, 2017.

According to reports reaching this news site, the woman was walking along the road near Pasea Place on the James Walter Francis Drive dual carriageway when she was pounced on by her attacker.

It is also reported that a passerby eventually heard the woman’s screams and came to her rescue while the attacker fled.

The incident reportedly took place around 8:00 P.M.

“Police are investigating a report made last night of a sexual assault against a female who was at the time walking along the dual carriageway near Pasea Place,” Police Information Officer Diane L. Drayton confirmed to this news site today, July 6, 2017.

Ms Drayton did not say whether anyone has been arrested or whether they have a suspect.

According to her, “Police are still gathering details on the incident.”

    am Old school a product of the the early 60s so certainly levels of lawlessness caused some concern......I have female members of my family who been accustomed to move around their country for many years without any apology: mind some of us don't start a possy should this foolishness continued up in here!!!!!!!!
