Police confirm sudden death of male tourist

ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI - Police are confirming the sudden death of male tourist James Watson, a native of England, residing in Georgia, USA.

Inquiries indicated that last Thursday morning December 18, 2014, Watson was snorkeling with family and friends at the Indians when he complained of shortness of breath and tiredness. He was given assistance back to the chartered boat where his daughter and friend administered CPR.

Watson was then transported to the Road Town Ferry Dock on the chartered boat and then by ambulance to Peebles Hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival.

The results of a postmortem performed over the weekend showed that Watson died of a heart attack.
