Pilot's vehicle doused with oil, tires slashed in CGB
A disappointed Mr Willis, who shared his story on the BVI Community Board on Facebook, said he was parked close to Myetts.
“There was oil poured everywhere inside my jeep and two of my tires were slashed. After dinner I got back to my vehicle and discovered all of this and a group of people in an apartment above my parking spot seemed very interested as I approached my vehicle. I assume they had something to do with it but I did change my flat tire, wipe the inside down and make my way home.”
No one to make report to at CGB Police Station
Mr Willis noted that he stopped at the Cane Garden Bay Police Station to make a report “and no one was there and the phone number didn't connect to anyone.”
Contacted today, however, Mr Willis told this news site he did speak to the police today and is to give a statement.
“I have spoke with them and they are starting an investigation. Thank you for the support…Mr Willis stated.
It is not clear at this time if anyone has been arrested.
“It doesn't matter who I am exactly to the BVI but I'm sure I was pegged as a tourist in the wrong parking spot. We have to do better than this. Most of our economy depends on tourists, accountants, and lawyers. I'm just one that helps get all of them here for your local businesses and I get repaid like this?
“I hope this post helps change the attitude we have toward each other or it makes people realise how we need to be more aware of our safety on the island,” Mr Willis’ Facebook post read.
Lucky Mr Willis?
Mr Willis could probably still consider himself lucky to have returned to a vehicle, unlike a couple, who over the Christmas season got engaged in New York and returned to the Virgin Islands hoping to begin celebrations but instead were thrown into frustration after their vehicle was allegedly stolen in Huntums Ghut on the main island of Tortola, a story first and accurately reported by this news site on January 6, 2017.
Mr Steve Langford had said their automobile, a dark green 1999 Suzuki Vitara, was left at a mechanic in Huntums Ghut to be looked at, however, it vanished.
“We’d left it in Huntums Ghut to be looked at by our mechanic but before he was able to look at it the car had been taken. He [mechanic] believes it must have been taken on either the 27th or 28th of December,” Mr Langford had said, noting that the vehicle was taken from the mechanic’s yard.
The matter was reported to police but it is unclear if the vehicle was recovered.

That sound like a lo**** tri* mix up Never never never have I heard of this type of bahavior in CGB Mr Pilot who were you having dinner with May I ask?
I think there is more to it than what's being said. While i do not support this behaviour I think this is personal. When someone goes as far as to slash your tyres it means that they were targetting you...it just not the normal thing for people to slash tyre and pour oil.
If anything they might have stolen the vehicle but not vandalise it.
Here all these white people comments on face book . When the black people in the US getting six warning shot no says nothing but here it is and they ready to call in the army
