JOE'S HILL, Tortola, VI- Residents of a section of Joe's Hill and surrounding areas will be temporarily without power due to an accident involving a pickup truck that took out a light pole in the area this morning, March 29, 2021.

It is unclear what were the circumstances surround the accident; however, the pickup truck ended up slamming into the light pole owned by BVI Electricity Corporation (BVIEC) at the foot of Joe's Hill and Paul P. Wattley Road.

It did not appear as if anyone was injured in the incident that occurred some time after 9:00am.

BVIEC and Fire and Rescue Service officers are also on the scene.
