VALLEY, Virgin Gorda, VI – It was an horrific and worrying sight for several persons at the beach in the vicinity of the BVI Port Authority Ferry Dock at Virgin Gorda when a red pick-up truck was seen submerged in the water.

Persons quickly converged on the scene when it was alleged that a woman and a young child were forced to jump out of the vehicle as it was going off into the sea. “We don’t know what really happen but when I saw the back up in the air and the front down I got really scared,” said an eyewitness.

The source said that upon investigating it was said that the woman and child were in the vehicle and had jumped to safety before anyone got to their aid.

“We don’t know the real meat as to what really caused it to go overboard but to see it like that under the water and then hearing that a woman and a child were in there is very worrying.”

This news site is awaiting further details regarding the incident from the Public Relations Officer of the Royal Virgin Islands Police Force (RVIPF) Ms Diane Drayton.
