LONG LOOK, Tortola, VI - A Pick-up truck with licence plate PD 412 hadn't the opportunity to return to its owner as it burst into flames while being test driven in Long Look minutes ago, March 16, 2015.

This occurred shortly after 5:00pm at Long Look.

According to reports, a mechanic had just finished conducting repairs on it and was test driving when the vehicle suddenly caught afire.

The driver, Virgin Islands News Online was told, quickly jumped out the vehicle to safety, escaping unharmed but somewhat shaken.

Fire fighters were credited for their quick response as, even though they were not able to save the vehicle from damage, they were able to put out the blaze before it ignited the fuel tank.
