ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- With at least three armed robberies reported in the Virgin Islands within a week, one restaurant has put robbers on early notice that they would be wasting their time trying to execute a robbery there.

‘For thieves: We don’t have cash!’ reads a notice outside the establishment Capriccio on Waterfront Drive, Tortola, today, March 27, 2020.

It is unclear whether this means the Italian restaurant is only accepting cards or cheques.

The restaurant has been a target for robbers in the past.

It was robbed of an undisclosed amount of cash and the cashier gun-butted during the ordeal on May 14, 2019.

According to reports, it was sometime before 10:00pm that a lone gunman entered the establishment and proceeded to rob the business.

A cashier was gun-butted several times before the gunman made off with the cash, said to be from the day's proceedings.

I want a t-shirt that says DO NOT DISTURB printed on the front. Maybe it will keep people 6 feet away from me when they see me.
