BEEF ISLAND, VI- The Territory’s Leaders, Premier and Minister of Finance and President of the ruling National Democratic Party (NDP), Dr The Honourable D. Orlando Smith (AL), and Leader of the Opposition Hon Andrew A. Fahie (R1) and Chairman of the Virgin Islands Party (VIP), are together on their way to London.

The photo taken this morning Monday May 14, 2018 shows both elected men in a handshake before boarding the first leg of a flight to London, England.

They are expected to have talks with British officials over the decision by the House of Commons to vote on May 1, 2018 to make beneficial owners of offshore accounts public.

The public awaits the outcome of the meetings, as residents are about to march on London, United Kingdom (UK), next Thursday May 24, 2018, beginning at 2:00 PM from the Sunday Morning Well in Road Town, the capital city.

The march, according to organisers, is to send a message that the Virgin Islands will not surrender its economic, human and constitutional rights.

While I commend the two Honorables, I really commend the Leader of the Opposition for putting country above political party. I have new found respect for Hon. Fahie because most Opposition Leaders worldwide would not have done this noble and statesman act.

As where there is strife disharmony and disunity there is always jealousy witchcraft and much more. Just make sure you both agree and disagree on the issues at hand otherwise things gonna tumble down and all hell gonna break loose when you all come back.Pls do all good for the good of the entire BVI the rich and the poor the happy or sad etc

Are these fhe best two people to represent us at this crucial meeting? I would have like the addition of Ronnie sitting at that table..

The BVI all of a sudden wants to determine who is bright and who is not. I have done business with Fahie locally and abroad and he's one of the most sharp minds there is and a very intelligent man. I have every confidence with him being around the table than most other persons that you and others are naming.
